    Piping Designer II with SMARTPLANT



    Merrick & Company is seeking a Mid-Level Piping Designer with experience for a range of applications including nuclear and industrial facility projects. The designer will be working in a multi-disciplinary team, the designer will be responsible for generating designs to meet exacting technical standards and meeting expectations for performance, attendance and punctuality.


    This position will be on a client project near our Greenwood Village (Denver Metro), CO office. 


    Skills Requirements

    • Must have one (1) - five (5) years of piping design experience is required.
    • One (1) year of experience with Smartplant P&ID & Smart 3D experience is required.
    • Previous experience with nuclear and industrial facility projects is strongly preferred.
    • Experience with creating orthographic (2D) and isometric (3D) drawings.
    • Design and place pipe supports as required.
    • Collaborates well with engineers and designers to ensure quality of design.
    • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
    • Ensure compliance with required specifications, tolerances, safety factors, and client requirements.
    • Candidate must be enthusiastic and willing to work as a team to ensure projects are successful
    • Client projects for this position:
      • Require sole U.S. Citizenship
      • Prohibit Dual Citizenship

    Work Environment

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as but not limited to: computers, phones, copiers, plotters, and scanners.
