Senior Operations Manager   Introduction Merrick is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager with a background in business operations, management, and market analysis, for a variety of functions in our Life Sciences Business Unit (LSBU). The LSBU is one of six practice areas at Merrick and is focused on laboratory design, commissioning, and consulting, which includes an array of architects, engineers, designers, commissioning personnel, and scientists. Our projects are executed from various locations in the U.S., U.K., Canada, and Latin America.   Description This position will work directly with the Life Sciences Business Unit Leader to support a wide range of programs, including project management, business development, and general operations.   The successful candidate must be a team player with a positive attitude who possesses excellent organizational skills and the ability to work with LSBU leadership. Mechanical Piping Designer    Introduction Merrick & Company is looking to add a Mechanical Piping Designer to our current team of designers. We are seeking a Designer to support various long term projects that start immediately at our Greenwood Village, Co office. The ideal candidates will have a passion for nuclear related design and problem solving.   Job Description The Mechanical Piping Designer will be responsible for the design of the mechanical piping systems, complying with piping standards and accepted industry practices.   Responsibilities include preparation of 3D modeling of equipment and piping systems and development of detailed isometric drawings from the 3D model and equipment layout drawings.   The designer will utilize CREO to design engineering drawings. The designer will generate mechanical and piping deliverables, taking direction from other disciplines. Senior Electrical I&C Equipment Designer   Introduction Merrick & Company is looking for an experienced Electrical I&C Equipment Designer for our Oak Ridge, TN office. This position supports Nuclear Services and Technology (NST) projects related to Department of Energy (DOE) work. Client projects for this position requires U.S. Citizenship.  This position is expected to be a 2 to 3 year commitment with the possibility of extension.   This team specializes in the design of prototype/one-off custom equipment, gloveboxes, hot cells, specialty research equipment and custom-designed, remotely-operated mechanisms for handling radioactive and hazardous materials. Additional specialization includes the design of moderate hazard non-reactor nuclear facilities and facility upgrades.   The ideal candidate will have a passion for electrical design, be able and willing to perform CAD as well as design of electrical and instrumentation/controls systems, be nimble in accepting a wide range of assignments both nuclear and non-nuclear and enjoy a team design environment. Relocation assistance will be provided as part of the overall compensation package depending on experience.   Job Description The Electrical –I&C Designer will perform some design and layout of electrical, instrumentation, and controls equipment and wiring during the production of CAD documents, and coordinates with other Electrical or I&C Engineers and designers. Work involves a variety of activities including conceptual and detailed design of low voltage and medium voltage power distribution, lighting, grounding, motor control systems, process equipment and instrumentation.
